I just wanted to drop a note to share an experience I had with officer T. Hurt today while I was passing through the area with my family. The kind officer opened the door for my little girls and engaged in brief conversation with us. Additionally, on our way out, he shared a special treat with them. I truly appreciate not only your service to the community, but wanted to share this positive experience with all who will view. I'd also like to note that in times when our media focuses on such negative press for our officers, as an African American mother, I'm so pleased to see proof that the negative images we see are the exception; not the rule.
